Andrew and Tristan Tate Face 21 UK Charges, Including Rape and Human Trafficking

Prosecutors in the UK have shared the full list of charges against Andrew and Tristan Tate. They face 21 charges in total. These include rape, causing harm, and human trafficking.

The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) said it approved the charges in 2024. After that, a UK court asked Romania to send the brothers back to the UK.

The brothers are still being investigated in Romania for other crimes. The CPS said those Romanian cases must finish before they can be brought to the UK.

The charges in the UK are based on a report from Bedfordshire Police. They looked into claims made between 2012 and 2015.

Andrew Tate, age 38, faces 10 charges. These include rape, causing harm, trafficking, and forcing women into sex work. These charges involve three women.

Tristan Tate, age 36, faces 11 charges. These include rape, causing harm, and trafficking. His case involves one woman.

The brothers were born in the US, but moved to Luton, UK, with their mother after their parents split up.

In recent years, Andrew has become famous online. He shares posts about his rich lifestyle, with fast cars and private jets. He calls himself a misogynist (someone who dislikes women). He has over 10 million followers on X.

In December 2022, both brothers were arrested in Romania. Andrew was accused of rape and trafficking. Tristan was also suspected of trafficking. They both said they were innocent. They spent some time under house arrest.

In August 2024, Romanian prosecutors made new claims. These included sex with a minor and trafficking underage girls. The brothers deny all these charges.

In March 2024, police in the UK got a warrant to arrest the brothers. Romanian police held them again. The UK charges are separate from the Romanian ones.

A court in Romania said the brothers can only be sent back to the UK after the Romanian cases are done.

The brothers were later released from jail. In early 2025, a travel ban on them was lifted. They flew to Florida in the US by private jet in February 2025.

In March 2025, they came back to Romania. They told reporters, “Innocent men don’t run from anything.”

They also said they had signed legal papers to show they were not hiding. Andrew said he wants to prove his innocence in both countries.
