Andrew and Tristan Tate will go back to the UK after their legal case in Romania is over, their lawyers say.
In 2024, the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) approved 21 charges against them. These include rape, causing harm, and human trafficking. After this, the UK asked Romania to send them back.
Right now, Romanian police are still looking into other charges against them. The brothers say they are not guilty.
Their lawyers said the brothers will return to the UK once the case in Romania is fully done. There is no clear date for that yet.
The UK charges are for things that happened from 2012 to 2015. In March 2024, Bedfordshire Police got a warrant to arrest them. The Tates said they are “very innocent men” and reject all charges.
A Romanian court already agreed they can be sent back to the UK after the trial in Romania ends.
Andrew, 38, is a former kickboxer and internet star. He faces 10 charges from three women. These include rape, causing harm, and controlling others for sex work.
Tristan, 36, faces 11 charges from one woman. These include rape and human trafficking.
The CPS got the case after Bedfordshire Police sent them evidence. The Tates’ lawyers say the media has shared false stories and the brothers are not getting fair treatment. They also say UK lawyers won’t give them key info about the charges.
The CPS says it is following all the rules.
Andrew Tate is very active online and has over 10 million followers. He shows off his rich lifestyle with cars, planes, and yachts.
The brothers were born in the US but moved to Luton, UK with their mother.
They were first arrested in Romania in December 2022. Andrew was accused of rape and human trafficking. Tristan was accused of human trafficking.
In August 2024, more charges came up. These included having sex with a minor. They deny all the claims.
In early 2025, they were allowed to travel. They went to Florida and came back to Romania in March.
Some people criticized UK officials for not asking Florida to arrest them. But the UK wanted to respect its deal with Romania.
Because the case in Romania is complex, the brothers may not return to the UK soon.
