All-girl band Cherrydead will play live on 2 July as part of a special event in Birmingham.
The show is called BBC Radio WM Celebrates Metal in the Midlands. It will take place at Birmingham Town Hall. Three bands from the city will perform: Cherrydead, Gans, and Meatdripper. They are being called "the future stars" of heavy metal.
The night will also include a film screening and a music panel. The event is a joint effort by BBC, B: Music, and Home of Metal.
It happens just before Black Sabbath reunites for a final show at Villa Park on 5 July.
Meatdripper and two-member band Gans will also be on stage.
Black Sabbath started in 1968 in the Aston area of Birmingham. They first practiced at Newtown Community Centre. Band members Ozzy Osbourne, Geezer Butler, Tony Iommi, and Bill Ward will headline a big one-day festival. Other bands like Metallica, Pantera, and Slayer will join them.
Chris Pegg, editor of BBC Radio WM, said Birmingham is the "home of heavy metal." He added that this event shows support for the stars of the future.
Chris Proctor, who works at B: Music, said the show will be “amazing.” He said it's great to see these new bands playing in such a key venue.
Tickets are on sale now.
Emily Drummond, singer of Cherrydead, said it felt “mind-blowing” to be asked to play. “We can’t wait to bring our sound to this special night,” she said.
Liv, from Meatdripper, said: “When I think of Sabbath, I think of Birmingham. I think of loud guitars and great voices. I’m proud to live in this city with such a cool music scene.”
